Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Field Engineer – Desktop Support L1 to provide onsite IT support across multiple office locations in Mumbai. The engineer will be responsible for handling end-user desktop support, basic network troubleshooting, hardware installations, software support, and IT asset management. The role requires traveling between more than 10 office locations across Mumbai based on business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Provide onsite desktop support to end users across multiple office locations in Mumbai.

Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, printer, and peripheral-related issues.

Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows desktops and laptops.

Install and support standard business applications such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, VPN, and collaboration tools.

Configure and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.

Perform basic network troubleshooting (LAN/Wi-Fi, IP configuration, connectivity issues).

Install and replace desktop/laptop hardware components such as RAM, SSD/HDD, keyboards, mice, and monitors.

Handle user account-related activities such as password resets and basic Active Directory support (if applicable).

Log, update, and close incidents through the IT Service Management (ITSM) tool within defined SLAs.

Coordinate with L2/L3 teams and external vendors for issue escalation and resolution.

Assist with new user onboarding, system setup, and hardware deployment.

Perform preventive maintenance and routine health checks of IT equipment.

Ensure compliance with company IT security policies and standard operating procedures.

Travel to more than 10 office locations across Mumbai as per support requirements.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating systems.

Good understanding of desktop hardware and peripherals.

Basic knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Office 365.

Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, Wi-Fi).

Experience with printers and multifunction devices.

Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a field support environment.

Educational Qualification

Any Graduate.

Experience

1–3 years of experience in Desktop Support or Field IT Support.

Freshers with strong technical knowledge and internship experience may also be considered.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Willing to travel extensively within Mumbai.

Strong customer service attitude and professional behavior.

Ability to work under SLA-driven environments.

Team player with good documentation skills.

Work Locations

The engineer will provide onsite support across 10+ office locations in Mumbai. Travel between locations will be required based on business needs and ticket priority.
