Job Title: Accounting, Taxation & Global Compliance

Location: Mumbai Sion

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Management

• Oversee end-to-end accounting, including bookkeeping, GL management, and financial reporting
• Review and finalize financial statements in compliance with Ind AS /IGAAP (as applicable)
• Manage complex reconciliations and group reporting requirements
• Support multi-entity and cross-border accounting structures
• Drive automation and efficiency in accounting processes

2. Domestic & International Taxation

• Manage direct and indirect tax compliance (Income Tax, GST, TDS, etc.)
• Handle international taxation matters, including:
• Cross-border transactions and tax implications
• Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements (DTAA)
• Withholding tax (WHT) across jurisdictions
• Transfer Pricing regulations and documentation
• Support global tax compliance and planning for clients
• Manage tax assessments, audits, and litigation support (domestic & international)

4. Client & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on accounting and global tax matters
• Build and maintain strong client relationships across geographies
• Provide proactive insights beyond compliance (value-added advisory)
• Manage client escalations and ensure high service standards

5. Team Management

• Lead and mentor a team of accounting and tax professionals
• Review deliverables with a focus on accuracy and compliance
• Drive capability building in international tax and global compliance
• Manage workload allocation, performance reviews, and training

6. Business Development & Practice Growth

• Support proposal development, pricing, and client acquisition
• Participate in client pitches, especially for global assignments
• Build networks with international partners/consultants

7. Process Improvement & Controls

• Implement strong internal controls and governance frameworks
• Standardize processes for multi-entity and multi-country operations
• Drive use of technology and automation in accounting and compliance

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards
• Deep expertise in:
• Indian taxation (GST, Income Tax, TDS)
• International taxation & cross-border transactions
• DTAA interpretation and application
• Transfer Pricing concepts and documentation
• Proficiency in accounting tools (Tally, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.)
• Advanced Excel skills

Business & Commercial Skills

• Strong understanding of business models and financial impact
• Ability to identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities
• Client-first mindset with advisory orientation

Qualifications & Experience

• Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA (mandatory or strongly preferred)
• 6-10+ years of experience in accounting and taxation
• Prior experience in consulting firms / Big 4 / CA firms preferred
