Hiring Business Analyst -Chennai/Bangalore

About the RoleWe are looking for a seasoned Senior Business Analyst with 6+ years of experience working on B2C mobile and web applications in the E-Commerce/Retail space. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of driving requirements, feature definition, and end-to-end delivery for consumer-facing digital products, and is comfortable acting as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, UX/design, and engineering teams throughout the mobile and web app lifecycle.Key Responsibilities

• Lead requirement-gathering sessions with business stakeholders, UX designers, and engineering teams for native mobile apps (iOS/Android) and responsive/web applications serving B2C customers.
• Own end-to-end BA delivery across the mobile/web app lifecycle discovery, requirement documentation, backlog grooming, sprint planning, UAT, and post-release monitoring.
• Analyze app-specific KPIs such as conversion rate, app install-to-purchase rate, session duration, DAU/MAU, cart abandonment (in-app and web), churn, and customer lifetime value (CLV).
• Translate business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, wireframes/flow references, and functional specifications for features like checkout, search & discovery, personalization, push notifications, and loyalty/rewards.
• Partner with mobile and web engineering teams to assess technical feasibility, API dependencies, and platform-specific constraints (iOS vs. Android vs. Web).
• Conduct competitive analysis and usability reviews of mobile and web B2C experiences to identify improvement opportunities.
• Drive A/B testing, feature flagging, and experimentation strategy; define success metrics and analyze results to guide go/no-go decisions.
• Own UAT strategy and execution for new app releases, ensuring functional and regression coverage across devices/browsers.
• Collaborate with data/analytics teams to define event tracking and ensure accurate instrumentation for mobile and web analytics.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors and SDKs (payment gateways, push notification services, analytics SDKs, CDPs).
• Mentor junior business analysts and contribute to BA best practices and process improvement.
• Present roadmap updates, feature performance, and insights to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master's a plus).
• 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a significant portion of that time dedicated to B2C mobile and/or web applications in E-Commerce, Retail, or D2C environments.
• Proven experience working across the full mobile/web app development lifecycle, ideally on both native app and responsive web platforms.
• Deep understanding of B2C e-commerce business models, customer journeys, and conversion funnels across mobile and web channels.
• Strong command of requirement-gathering and documentation practices (BRD, FRD, user stories, epics, process/flow diagrams) in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading UAT and release cycles for consumer-facing apps.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
• Ability to translate complex data and technical concepts into clear business insights for non-technical stakeholders.
