Job Overview

We are looking for a knowledgeable and student-focused Assistant Professor Computer Science with expertise in Cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will have strong academic knowledge, relevant teaching experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to explain complex technical concepts effectively in an online learning environment.

The selected candidate will support students through academic mentoring, online discussions, assessment, and learning resource development while maintaining high standards of academic delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support online lectures in Computer Science and Cyber Security courses.
• Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students through LMS, Email, Chat.
• Explain complex technical concepts in a clear and student-friendly manner.
• Respond promptly to academic queries and provide timely support to students.
• Evaluate assignments, projects, and assessments while providing constructive feedback.
• Monitor student progress and recommend interventions where necessary.
• Collaborate with academic coordinators and faculty members to maintain consistency in course delivery and assessment standards.
• Develop and update course materials, presentations, and academic resources.
• Support curriculum enhancement initiatives aligned with current industry trends.
• Maintain accurate academic records and ensure adherence to institutional quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science (Cyber Security) discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience in Computer Science.
• At least 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience is mandatory.
• Strong subject knowledge in Cybersecurity, with relevant expertise in AI/ML or related areas.
• Experience teaching undergraduate or postgraduate students is highly desirable.

• Clear, professional, and student-friendly communication during chat, audio, and video interactions.
• Strong presentation, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to students with varying levels of understanding.

• Proficiency in online teaching tools and virtual learning platforms.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with online assessment tools and plagiarism-detection software.
• Experience developing academic content, course materials, and assessments.
