Heat Treatment Operator

Role & responsibilities

1. Operate heat treatment equipment as per approved process parameters, technical drawings, and work instructions.
2. Perform heat treatment processes such as hardening, tempering, annealing, stress relieving, and other assigned thermal treatment operations, as applicable.
3. Set and monitor furnace temperature, heating cycles, soaking time, cooling rates, and quenching parameters as per specified requirements.
4. Ensure proper loading and unloading of components, tools, dies, and other workpieces into and from the heat treatment equipment.
5. Operate polishing machines to finish metal components, tools, dies, and other workpieces as per specified surface finish requirements.
6. Perform polishing, deburring, and surface finishing operations using appropriate abrasives, polishing wheels, and tools.
7. Operate conventional workshop machines such as milling as assigned and subject to the operators training and competency
8. Coordinate with supervisors, quality personnel, and other production team members to ensure timely completion of assigned jobs.
9. Use measuring instruments and testing equipment carefully and ensure they are handled and stored properly
