Head /Team Lead - Industrial Relations (IR)

Role & responsibilities

• Maintain stable and harmonious industrial relations and ensure business continuity.
• Develop and execute an annual IR Strategy & Action Plan.
• Lead/support wage negotiations and productivity-linked settlements.
• Establish strong shop-floor connect and early-warning mechanisms for IR risks.
• Ensure robust labour-law, contractor and statutory compliance.
• Drive manpower productivity and labour-cost optimization.
• Maintain comprehensive IR MIS, Risk Register and Legal/Dispute Tracker.
• Build IR capability among HODs, managers and supervisors.

Preferred candidate profile

Preferable candidate should have 15+ years relevant experience, preferably in a large unionized manufacturing organization such as Cement, Mining, Steel, Power or Engineering. Strong expertise in collective bargaining, labour laws, negotiation, grievance handling, disciplinary proceedings, contract labour and employee relations.
