Role Summary
Mandela Group of Companies is seeking a hands-on Software & AI Solutions Engineer who can understand business processes and turn them into secure, scalable programs, mobile applications, and digital systems.
The successful candidate will work with finance, operations, procurement, and management to improve workflows and reduce manual intervention through software, automation, and AI.
Key Responsibilities

• Understand and document business requirements and workflows.
• Convert business ideas and challenges into working technical solutions.
• Design and develop programs, web platforms, mobile applications, databases, and internal systems.
• Apply AI and automation to improve efficiency and reduce repetitive human work.
• Integrate new solutions with existing business systems and equipment.
• Assess and recommend the hardware required for different projects.
• Design secure, reliable, and scalable solutions that accommodate future growth.
• Test, deploy, monitor, maintain, and document developed systems.
• Work with specialist providers when additional expertise is required.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing and deploying real business applications.
• Strong programming ability in Python or similar modern languages.
• Knowledge of Swift and other mobile-development technologies.
• Broad understanding of web, mobile, backend, database, cloud, integration, and automation technologies.
• Practical experience applying AI to business systems and workflows.
• Understanding of system architecture, cybersecurity, testing, deployment, and data protection.
• Ability to choose the most suitable technology for each project rather than relying on one language or platform.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to understand finance, operations, procurement, and other business processes.
• Experience with large organisations, logistics, retail, manufacturing, ERP, or CRM systems is an advantage.
