About this role
Role & responsibilities
The Head Quality will be responsible for leading the Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Food Safety, Regulatory Compliance, and Quality Management Systems across the manufacturing facility. The role will ensure that all products meet food safety, regulatory, customer, and company quality standards while driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Develop and implement Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems across manufacturing operations.
- Establish quality standards for raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Monitor product quality parameters and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Lead product release approvals and quality certifications.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI regulations and food safety standards.
- Maintain and improve HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO 22000, FSMS, and related certifications.
- Coordinate statutory inspections, audits, and certification renewals.
- Ensure complete traceability and food safety documentation.
Preferred candidate profile
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Food Technology
- M.Sc Food Science / Microbiology / Chemistry
- Additional certifications in HACCP, ISO 22000,
- 15 to18 years of experience in Food Processing / FMCG Manufacturing.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing Quality functions.
- Experience in audits, food safety systems, regulatory compliance, and customer quality management.
- Exposure to spices, snacks, bakery, beverages, dairy, ready-to-eat, or processed food industries preferred.
