Head of Quality Engineering & AI Quality

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Head of Quality Engineering & AI Quality to lead the transformation of Quality Assurance into an AI-first, automation-driven Quality Engineering function. This leader will define the quality strategy, leverage AI and intelligent automation, and embed quality across the software lifecycle to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable healthcare technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Define and execute the Quality Engineering roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
• Drive the transition from traditional testing to AI-assisted and autonomous quality practices.
• Establish quality as a core engineering capability and business differentiator.

AI & Automation

• Build AI-powered testing and automation capabilities.
• Implement intelligent solutions for test generation, optimization, defect prediction, root cause analysis, and risk-based testing.
• Drive an automation-first strategy across UI, API, database, performance, and security testing.
• Integrate quality controls and automation into CI/CD pipelines.

Engineering & Quality Excellence

• Embed Shift-Left and Shift-Right quality practices.
• Define and monitor quality metrics, including automation coverage, defect leakage, MTTR, release readiness, and change failure rates.
• Implement quality observability and predictive quality analytics.

Healthcare Compliance

• Ensure adherence to healthcare standards and regulations, including HIPAA, HL7, and FHIR.
• Validate security, privacy, interoperability, and clinical workflows.

Leadership

• Build and mentor a high-performing Quality Engineering team.
• Upskill teams in AI-assisted testing, automation, and modern quality practices.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Architecture, DevOps, and Security teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering, including leadership of enterprise QA organizations.
• Proven success building automation-first teams and driving engineering excellence initiatives.
• Experience with AI-enabled software development and testing practices.
• Healthcare, SaaS, or regulated industry experience preferred.
