Job Summary

Ananta Rubber LLP is looking for an experienced and hands-on Head – Plant Maintenance to lead maintenance operations at our rubber manufacturing facility in Hyderabad. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high machine availability, minimizing breakdowns, improving equipment reliability and managing electrical, mechanical and utility maintenance.

Candidates with experience in tyre manufacturing, rubber processing, automotive components or other heavy manufacturing industries are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plant & Machinery Maintenance

• Lead all mechanical, electrical and utility maintenance activities across the plant.
• Ensure reliable operation of rubber processing machinery, hydraulic presses, mixers, mills, tube manufacturing equipment and associated production machinery.
• Handle troubleshooting and resolution of major machine breakdowns.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.

2. Electrical & Mechanical Systems

• Oversee maintenance of HT/LT electrical systems, transformers, DG sets, motors, VFDs, MCC/PCC panels and industrial electrical installations.
• Manage hydraulic and pneumatic systems, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, bearings and other mechanical equipment.
• Coordinate PLC, control panel and automation troubleshooting wherever applicable.

3. Utilities & Infrastructure

• Ensure reliable operation of compressors, pumps, cooling systems, water systems and other plant utilities.
• Monitor utility consumption, equipment efficiency and energy costs.
• Plan and execute maintenance and improvement projects.

4. Maintenance Planning & Cost Control

• Prepare annual maintenance plans, budgets and equipment shutdown schedules.
• Monitor breakdown frequency, MTBF, MTTR and machine availability.
• Manage critical spares, inventory levels, vendor coordination and AMC contracts.
• Identify opportunities to reduce maintenance costs and improve equipment life.

5. Team & Safety Management

• Lead and develop the maintenance team, technicians and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO) and machine safety requirements.
• Maintain maintenance records, equipment histories and standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase and EHS teams to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance in a manufacturing plant.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and breakdown management.
• Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulic presses, industrial motors, pumps, compressors and electrical distribution.
• Experience in maintenance planning, spare-parts management and team leadership.
• Strong problem-solving, coordination and decision-making skills.

Educational Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.

A proactive, technically strong maintenance professional capable of independently managing plant maintenance, leading a technical team, reducing machine downtime and supporting production targets.
