About The Role
Utek Solar is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Head of Sales to lead the sales function, drive revenue growth, expand the customer base, and build a strong sales team across target markets.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in solar/renewable energy sales, business development, channel sales, and team management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the overall sales strategy and revenue plan.
- Lead and manage the sales team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Drive B2B/B2C sales, institutional sales, channel sales, and business development.
- Identify new markets, customers, distributors, dealers, and business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and channel partners.
- Develop and manage the dealer/distributor network across assigned regions.
- Monitor sales pipeline, conversion rates, revenue, and overall sales performance.
- Set sales targets and KPIs and ensure achievement through effective team management.
- Work closely with the marketing team to convert digital and offline leads into business.
- Handle key negotiations, commercial discussions, and major client closures.
- Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, MIS, and performance reports for management.
- Ensure strong customer relationships and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- 8+ years of experience in Sales & Business Development.
- Proven experience in Solar / Renewable Energy / Power / Electrical / EPC industry preferred.
- Strong experience in team handling and target achievement.
- Experience in channel/dealer/distributor management.
- Strong B2B sales and business development skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Strong understanding of sales planning, forecasting, and revenue management.
