About Legal Habitat

Legal Habitat is an early-stage legal tech venture, currently in stealth, working on a structural problem in the legal industry: We are starting in India, with global ambitions.

About the role

We are looking for one exceptional legal professional to join our founding team and help shape the company from the ground up. This is not a traditional legal job. It is a chance to build a business at the intersection of law and technology, with real influence over its direction.

The role is ideal for someone who has ever thought about building their own law firm, practice or legal venture someday, and wants to build something larger than a single practice.

What you will do

• Shape the product and strategy alongside the founder

• Build and lead relationships with law firms, chambers, senior counsel and independent legal professionals

• Bring an insider's understanding of how legal work is sourced, referred and delivered

• Help define standards of quality, trust and professional conduct for the platform

• Represent Legal Habitat within the legal community

Who we are looking for

• Currently working at a reputed law firm, chamber or legal organisation

• Strong academic background

• Around 10 years of experience in the legal field (exceptional candidates with less experience are welcome to apply)

• Well connected and respected within the legal ecosystem

• A genuine interest in legal tech and a builder's mindset

• Practising lawyers are very welcome; a law background is valued, but this is a role for a builder, not only a practitioner
