Head of Finance

Role Objective

Own the finance function end-to-end — accurate and timely financial closures under Ind AS, robust MIS and channel-wise profitability reporting, statutory and tax compliance across India and international subsidiaries, and financial support for strategic initiatives including fund raising.

Key Responsibilities

1) Financial Closure & Reporting

• Drive timely and accurate quarterly and year-end closure of books of accounts as per Ind AS accounting standards
• Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements — P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
• Own statutory audit, tax audit and other audit closures within timelines, with minimal observations

2) MIS & Profitability Reporting

• Own monthly MIS with channel-wise (Ecommerce, Quick Commerce, Retail, US, UK, etc.) revenue, margin and profitability analysis
• Track planned vs actual performance and drive variance analysis with business teams
• Provide data-backed insights on pricing, COGS and channel profitability to support business decisions

3) Subsidiary Accounting & Global Compliance

• Own accounting, bookkeeping and statutory compliance for the US and UK subsidiaries (and any future international entities)
• Ensure compliance with local VAT/sales tax and corporate Income Tax laws applicable in the US and UK
• Coordinate with local accountants, consultants and auditors overseas; manage intercompany reconciliations and cross-border transaction accounting

4) Taxation & Regulatory Compliance

• Drive accurate and timely GST compliance — returns, reconciliations, audits and refunds
• Manage Income Tax compliance including advance tax, TDS, assessments and litigation
• Own Transfer Pricing (TP) documentation, benchmarking studies and compliance for cross-border/related-party transactions

5) Fund Raise & Strategic Support

• Support fund raise processes (equity/debt) including financial due diligence, data room preparation and responses to investor queries
• Provide financial inputs for investor relations, cap table management and valuation discussions
• Provide financial know-how and support for new growth initiatives — new subsidiary set-up, new market entry

6) Treasury, Planning & Governance

• Own the AOP/ budgeting process and cash flow planning
• Manage working capital and banking relationships
• Strengthen internal controls, policies and ERP-based processes across the finance function

• Timeliness and accuracy of quarterly closures under Ind AS
• Turnaround time and accuracy of channel-wise MIS and profitability reporting
• 100% compliance across GST, Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, POEM and US/UK statutory filings
• Timely closure of due diligence requirements for fund raise
• Nil / minimal statutory and audit observations

Skills Required

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA); CPA/ACCA or other international accounting qualification is a plus
• 12–15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, ideally in a consumer/D2C/ecommerce business with international operations
• Strong hands-on expertise in Ind AS, GST, Income Tax, Transfer Pricing and POEM
• Experience managing subsidiary accounting and compliance for US
• and/or UK entities
• Prior experience supporting fund raise / PE-VC financial due diligence processes
• Strong analytical skills with experience building MIS and margin/profitability reporting frameworks
• High ownership, hands-on and comfortable operating in a scaling, fast-paced environment
