Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on professional to head our Export Documentation and Banking department. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing all export documentation, shipment-related procedures, banking operations, export payment realisation and government export incentives, while leading a team of four members.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Management: Lead, supervise and manage a team of four members, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and timely completion of all departmental activities.
• Export Documentation: Oversee the complete export documentation cycle, including commercial invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, bills of lading, certificates of origin and other shipment-related documents.
• Banking & Forex: Handle export banking procedures, foreign exchange matters, export bill negotiation, payment realisation and coordination with banks.
• Export Payments: Monitor outstanding export payments, follow up on overdue payments and ensure timely realisation of export proceeds.
• Export Incentives: Manage and monitor eligible export benefits, including Duty Drawback, RoDTEP and other applicable government export schemes.
• Shipment Coordination: Oversee coordination with freight forwarders, CHA/customs agents, shipping lines, banks and other relevant agencies to ensure smooth shipment execution.
• Bank Compliance: Supervise bank documentation, export bills, BRC/eBRC, EDPMS-related matters and other applicable export compliance requirements.
• Process Management: Establish proper systems, maintain accurate records and ensure all export, banking and compliance requirements are completed within stipulated timelines.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in export documentation, banking and shipment procedures, preferably in a home textiles or handicrafts export company.
• Thorough knowledge of export procedures, banking, Forex, export payment realisation and regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of export incentives, including Duty Drawback and RoDTEP.
• Proven ability to independently manage the complete export documentation and banking function.
• Prior experience managing a team and taking ownership of departmental operations.
• Strong coordination, problem-solving and follow-up skills.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and relevant export documentation systems.
