Job Description Head of Research (Equity)Location: MumbaiRole: Head of Research EquityAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Head of Research – Equity to lead and drive the equity research function for a reputed financial services organisation.The role will involve leading the research team, setting the overall research framework, driving investment insights, and ensuring high-quality, actionable research output across sectors.Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Equity Research function and research team.
• Drive the overall equity research strategy, methodology, and coverage.
• Oversee fundamental research across sectors and companies.
• Review and validate research reports, investment views, financial models, and valuation analysis.
• Develop strong sector and company-level investment insights.
• Guide analysts in conducting detailed financial, industry, and company analysis.
• Monitor market developments, corporate actions, sector trends, and key macro factors impacting investments.
• Work closely with senior management and internal stakeholders to communicate research views and market perspectives.
• Maintain high standards of research quality, accuracy, and compliance.
• Build and strengthen the research team's capabilities and coverage.

Ideal Candidate

• Strong experience in Equity Research, preferably from a broking / sell-side research background.
• Prior experience in leading or managing an Equity Research team/function.
• Strong understanding of fundamental research, financial modelling, valuation, and equity markets.
• Good track record of producing high-quality research and actionable investment views.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Candidates with established sector coverage and strong market understanding will be preferred.
