Head of Community & Online Events

You will lead our online events, strengthen engagement across our communities, develop speakers and community leaders, and build repeatable systems that allow our communities to scale.

This is a hands-on, player-coach role combining strategy and execution.

What You Will Own

• Build and manage a compelling calendar of virtual events, networking sessions, workshops, expert talks, career fairs, and community programs.
• Own events end-to-end: programming, speakers, promotion, registrations, production, engagement, follow-up, and measurement.
• Grow active participation across our professional communities through onboarding, recurring programming, communications, recognition, and member-led activities.
• Develop repeatable event and community formats that members want to return to.
• Build relationships with speakers, employers, partners, moderators, and community leaders.
• Turn events into sustained community engagement rather than one-time attendance.
• Create playbooks, workflows, automation, dashboards, and operating processes that allow the function to scale.
• Lead and develop the community and events team.

You should have strong experience in community building, events, professional networks, media, associations, education, or another audience-driven environment.

You should bring:

• Experience building engaged communities and virtual events
• Strong program and project management skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience working with speakers, partners, and senior stakeholders
• A data-driven approach to community growth and engagement
• Strong operational and systems thinking
• Experience leading teams or distributed contributors
• Comfort using AI, automation, and digital tools

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who has created participationnot simply managed an audience.
