About this role
ROLE PURPOSE:
It is a B2G Projects Operations Role for large ICT projects.
Lead end-to-end delivery and operations of ICT Labs, Smart Classrooms, Robotics, Atal Tinkering and STEM Lab projects for government clients - from work order to rollout, operations through the contract period, and closure - on time, within budget and as per SLA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project Planning & Delivery: Own multi-state project plans, timelines and budgets from work order to handover; run weekly reviews and escalations.
- Rollout Management: Oversee procurement, logistics, installation, commissioning and acceptance testing of labs across hundreds of schools.
- Operations & O&M: Deploy and manage ICT instructors and trainers, teacher training, lab uptime, AMC and SLA compliance; avoid penalties.
- Government Stakeholders: Coordinate with State Project Directors, Directorates of Education and district/school officials for approvals, inspections, UCs and progress reporting.
- MIS & Compliance: Build MIS, dashboards and field monitoring systems; ensure documentation is audit-ready and compliant with contract terms.
- Project Financials: Drive milestone completion and billing documentation to support timely collections; control project cost.
- Vendors: Manage OEMs, vendors and installation partners on quality, cost and timelines.
- Team Leadership: Lead state project managers, coordinators and field teams; provide technical and execution inputs for new bids.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
- On-time rollout and acceptance of labs.
- Lab uptime, SLA compliance and zero-penalty delivery.
- Project cost within budget; milestone billing on schedule.
- Quality of reporting and stakeholder satisfaction.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- 12 - 15+ years of experience, with 5+ years leading large, multi-location ICT, EdTech or education infrastructure projects in government schools.
- Candidates from NGOs and CSR foundations who have managed ICT / digital education, smart class or STEM lab programmes at scale are welcome to apply.
- Strong command of project management, field operations, vendor management and government reporting (UCs, MIS, inspections).
- Experience with Samagra Shiksha, PM SHRI, ATL or ICT@School programmes is a strong plus.
- Graduate in Engineering / IT; MBA or PMP preferred. Willing to travel extensively.
