    About this role

    Head - Human Resources

    Mumbai - 10+ Years Experience

    About the Role:

Our client, a Mumbai-headquartered firm preparing for an IPO, is looking for a Head of HR to build and lead the people function through this critical growth phase.

This is a generalist leadership role with a strong bias toward talent acquisition.

Candidates with Hospitality or F&B industry experience are strongly preferred, given the people-intensity and service-culture demands of that background.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Own the end-to-end HR charter - TA, HRBP, compensation & benefits, performance management, employee relations, and culture-building - as a true generalist function head.

    - Lead high-volume, high-velocity talent acquisition across corporate, field, and leadership hiring as the organization scales ahead of and through IPO.

    - Build scalable hiring pipelines, employer branding, and recruitment processes suited to fast-growing, service/consumer-facing businesses.

    - Partner with business and founding leadership on org design, workforce planning, and readiness for public-company governance standards (POSH, board reporting, ESOP administration, etc.).

    - Drive HR policy, compliance, and process maturity appropriate for a listed entity.

    - Own compensation benchmarking, retention strategy, and leadership pipeline building during a high-visibility growth phase.

    - Manage and mentor a lean HR team, scaling the function as headcount grows.

    Ideal Candidate Profile:

    - 10+ years in HR, with demonstrated depth in Talent Acquisition as a core strength.

    - Prior experience in Hospitality, F&B, or other high-volume, service-oriented consumer businesses strongly preferred.

    - Proven generalist exposure - not a pure TA specialist - across HRBP, ER, comp & ben, and policy.

    - Experience operating in a scale-up, high-growth environment.

    - Comfortable being a hands-on, builder-type HR leader in a lean team rather than a large-company function head with heavy delegation.

    - Strong stakeholder management skills to work directly with founders/promoters and business heads.
