Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Head – HR to establish and manage the HR function for our real estate and construction business. The role will be responsible for setting up HR processes, managing site manpower and personnel, handling payroll and statutory compliances, and providing day-to-day HR support to management and project sites.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of HR operations, payroll, labour management, statutory compliance and employee relations, preferably within the real estate/construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and establish the HR function, policies, processes and systems for the organization.
• Manage end-to-end HR operations including employee records, attendance, leave, joining, exit and documentation.
• Take regular reporting from project sites, labour teams and personnel regarding manpower requirements and day-to-day challenges.
• Monitor and manage site manpower, labour-related issues, attendance and workforce requirements.
• Handle monthly payroll processing, salary inputs, attendance data and payroll-related activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
• Manage statutory compliances such as PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Bonus, Gratuity, labour welfare and other applicable compliances.
• Coordinate with external consultants/agencies wherever required for payroll and statutory matters.
• Address employee grievances, disciplinary matters and employee relations issues.
• Maintain proper HR MIS and provide regular reports to the Directors/Management.
• Support manpower planning and recruitment requirements for corporate office and project sites.
• Develop and implement HR policies, SOPs and processes as required.
• Ensure proper HR documentation and compliance records are maintained.
• Coordinate with site teams and management to resolve day-to-day HR and manpower-related challenges.
• Assist the Directors with HR, administrative and other business-related responsibilities as and when required.
• Handle any other HR and administrative responsibilities assigned by the management.

Candidate Profile

• Graduate/Postgraduate in HR, Human Resources, Personnel Management or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in HR Operations / HR Generalist / HR Head roles.
• Experience in Real Estate, Construction, Infrastructure or Project-based organizations will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of payroll, labour laws and statutory compliances.
• Experience in handling site labour and blue-collar workforce is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, people-management and problem-solving skills.
• Should be comfortable working in a hands-on HR leadership role and independently setting up HR processes.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and HR systems.
