Head / General Manager - R&D Research Chemical Chemistry Surfactant

Role & responsibilities

• Should possess minimum 15 years of experience in handling R & D in specialty chemicals.
• Product developing and scaling up keeping commercially viability in line with business requirement.
• Ensuring transfer of technologies smoothly from R & D -> Process Development Lab -> Pilot - > Manufacturing for commercialization of improved / new technologies and products.
• Evaluation of backward integration including suitability of existing process / product to sustain in the business.
• Help in evaluating of new formulation products Support in Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
• Prioritize projects based on business needs.
• Coaching and mentoring team of scientist to develop processes which are cost effective, involve least hazardous RMs and generate least effluents.
• Encourage scientists to enhance their knowledge base on new technologies, safety and environment protection.

Preferred candidate profile

• Masters / Doctorate in Chemistry or M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from a reputed Institute with at least 5 publications and 1 patent to his/her credit.
• Minimum 15-24 years of experience in the Research and Development / New Product Development field in Chemical.
• Ideal Candidate must have proven experience in managing R&D team of minimum 10 or more scientists.
• Exposure of working in Oleo Chemicals, Surfactants or Oil and Gas Sector is preferred.
• Willing to travel abroad for training & audits.
