Head - Financial MIS, Budgeting & Cost Analysis

The selected candidate will report to CFO / Head - F&A

Role & responsibilities

• Prepare monthly MIS, management dashboards and financial performance reports.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and periodic budget revisions; analyse Actual vs. Budget / Forecast / Previous Period variances.
• Monitor expenses, manufacturing costs and cost centres and identify cost-control / cost-reduction opportunities.
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation and reconciliation of Raw Materials, WIP, Finished Goods, Stores, Spares and Consumables between physical stock, ERP and financial books.
• Coordinate periodic physical stock taking / verification, investigate discrepancies and ensure timely reconciliation.
• Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, excess and obsolete inventory and assess financial impact.
• Prepare and analyse yield statements and material consumption against standards / budget and identify wastage and process losses.
• Prepare and reconcile COGS reports with inventory, production, sales and financial records and analyse impact on product cost and profitability.
• Ensure timely expense accruals, account reconciliations and month-end reporting.
• Review Fixed Assets Register, capitalisation, depreciation and physical verification.
• Strengthen MIS, inventory, costing and financial controls and support Internal, Statutory, Cost and Stock Audits.
• Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, Production, Planning, Sales, Dispatch, Finance and Accounts and lead the MIS & Cost Analysis team.

• Timely and accurate monthly MIS and management reporting.
• 100% completion of annual budget and periodic forecasts within timelines.
• Timely variance analysis with clear root-cause explanations.
• Inventory Accuracy 99.5% and timely inventory reconciliation.
• 100% completion of scheduled physical stock taking and reconciliation.
• Accurate and timely inventory valuation, COGS, yield and cost reporting.
• Reduction in inventory discrepancies, wastage, yield and unexplained cost variances.
• Effective implementation of cost-control / cost-reduction initiatives.
• Reduction in audit observations relating to MIS, inventory and costing.

Preferred candidate profile

B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance / CA Inter / CMA Inter / CA / CMA.

• 1015 years experience in Finance & Accounts with strong exposure to MIS, Budgeting, Costing, Inventory and COGS.
• Manufacturing experience preferred; Cable / Electrical Industry experience will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of ERP, Advanced MS Excel, inventory accounting and financial analysis.
