Role & responsibilities

Operations & Production Management

• Oversee daily factory operations including production scheduling, planning, and execution.
• Ensure production targets are met while maintaining product quality, cost control, and timely delivery.
• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Optimize factory workflows and processes to maximize productivity.

Team Leadership & Workforce Management

• Manage, train, and develop production supervisors and line staff.
• Foster a positive and safety-first culture across the factory.
• Monitor labour needs and manage staffing levels based on production demands.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO, FSSC, GMP).
• Work closely with Quality Assurance to address non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with R&D and Quality teams on new product introductions and process improvements.

Maintenance & Equipment

• Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
• Approve capital expenditures and plan for machinery upgrades or replacements.

Reporting & Budget Management

• Prepare and present production reports, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Manage budgets for production operations and control operational costs.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in production/operations management in the food industry.
• Strong understanding of food safety and regulatory standards.
• Experience with ERP systems, production planning tools, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
