Qualification: B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering
Reporting To: Founder / CEO
Role Purpose
We are looking for an experienced Head – Design & Engineering to lead and build the Design & Engineering function.
The role will be responsible for delivering safe, optimized, standardized, and manufacturable lifting solutions, while reducing engineering lead time, design errors, rework, and dependency on individual team members.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the complete design and engineering of EOT cranes and customized lifting systems.
Own technical calculations, design validation, and compliance with applicable IS, FEM, and customer standards.
Drive product standardization, modular and configurable designs while maintaining the ability to deliver customized solutions.
Establish and optimize the complete engineering workflow:
Customer Requirement → GA → Detailed Design → BOM → Manufacturing Release.
Lead implementation of SolidWorks / 3D design, parametric models, and engineering libraries.
Ensure engineering drawings, designs, and BOMs are accurate and released within committed timelines.
Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM), value engineering, and cost optimization without compromising safety, quality, or reliability.
Reduce design errors, rework, and site modifications through structured design reviews, validation, and root-cause analysis.
Develop and implement engineering standards, SOPs, calculation templates, design guidelines, and technical documentation.
Build, recruit, mentor, and develop a strong Design & Engineering team.
Establish systems and processes to reduce dependency on key individuals and improve engineering continuity.
Collaborate closely with Sales, Production, Purchase, Projects, Quality, Installation, and Service teams.
Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, design quality, delivery timelines, and product performance.
