Head - Business Development - Generator Industry Background

Goel Power Engineers LLP is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented individual to join our team as a Business Development & Consultant Handling professional. This role will be crucial in expanding our client base, nurturing existing relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of consulting services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing client relationships.

Responsibilities:

Business Development:

• Identify and research potential clients within target markets.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
• Generate leads through networking, cold calling, consultants & clients visit and other channels
• Conduct product, Capability & company presentations and product demonstrations.
• Prepare proposals and negotiate contracts.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in CRM.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities.

Consultant Handling:

• Act as a liaison between clients and consultants.
• Understand client needs and match them with appropriate consultant expertise.
• Manage project timelines and ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget.
• Monitor project progress and address any issues that may arise.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants.
• Provide regular updates to clients on project status.
• Gather client feedback and ensure satisfaction with consulting services.
• Manage consultant utilization and optimize resource allocation.

General:

• Collaborate with other team members to achieve company objectives.
• Participate in marketing and networking events.
• Prepare reports on sales performance and client satisfaction.
• Contribute to the development of new business strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering or Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in business development and/or client management, preferably in the Capital equipment industry.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building client relationships.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in CRM software e.g. Salesforce.
• Knowledge of consulting methodologies and best practices is a plus.
