Head Accountant

Role & responsibilities

• Manage and oversee complete accounting operations of the organization.
• Supervise and guide Junior Accountants and review their day-to-day accounting work.
• Handle Tally, GST, TDS, income tax, invoicing, payments, receipts, purchases, sales and journal entries.
• Prepare and review P&L, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, Ledgers, Cash Flow and other financial reports.
• Manage Bank Reconciliation, customer/vendor reconciliation, receivables, payables and outstanding payments.
• Ensure timely GST/TDS returns, statutory compliance, audits and taxation-related activities.
• Review invoices, expenses, vouchers and accounting records for accuracy and compliance.
• Manage monthly/year-end closing, financial reporting and audit requirements.
• Coordinate with management, auditors, banks, vendors and other departments for all accounting and financial matters.
• Ensure proper accounting controls, documentation and accurate maintenance of financial records.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter or equivalent qualification preferred.
• 6+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with Accounts Manager / Senior Accountant experience.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Tally, GST, TDS, taxation and MS Excel.
• Complete understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, Ledger, Cash Flow and Reconciliation.
• Must be capable of independently managing end-to-end accounting and statutory compliance.
• Experience in team handling and supervising Junior Accountants.
• Strong analytical, reporting, communication and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy, financial discipline and attention to detail.
