About Position The Validation Engineer acts as the crucial link between product design/development teams and the testing laboratory. This role ensures that hardware prototypes, test fixtures, and measurement instruments are available, functional, and properly allocated to meet strict project timelines. The candidate will manage the "who, what, where, and when" of the project hardware, solving logistical bottlenecks, tracking hardware availability, and coordinating access for cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do

• Maintain an up-to-date inventory and tracking system for all engineering prototypes, pre-production samples, and development boards (Prototype Tracking)
• Coordinate shipping, receiving, and secure storage of sensitive project hardware between internal teams, manufacturing sites, and external vendors (Logistics Coordination)
• Manage scheduling and allocation of limited validation hardware to engineering teams such as design, software, and firmware to optimize utilization (Hardware Allocation)
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Assist in initial bring-up and verification of prototype hardware to ensure functionality before full validation (Hardware Bring-up)
• Support design, procurement, or assembly of test setups and fixtures (Fixture Development)
• Collect and analyze test data to identify defects or deviations and prepare detailed validation summary reports (Data Analysis & Reporting)
• Coordinate logistical aspects of debugging including moving failed units to failure analysis teams (Troubleshooting & Debugging)
• Maintain strict documentation of hardware configurations, software/firmware versions, and change control records (Documentation)

Expertise You'll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in validation
• Proven experience in validation processes
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations
• Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation
• Familiarity with PCB schematics and hardware debugging
• Knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages for automating log collection
• Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong organizational skills to track multiple components and samples simultaneously
• Proven problem-solving ability to resolve logistical bottlenecks under tight deadlines
• Excellent collaboration skills to coordinate between remote design teams and on-site lab technicians
