    About this role

Job Title: Hardware Engineer (Simulation & Mechatronics)

    Company: Cusmat Tech

    Location: Bengaluru, India (On-site)

    Job Type: Full-time

    About Cusmat

At Cusmat, we build advanced, hardware-integrated training simulators for high-risk industrial sectors like Mining, Logistics, and Heavy Manufacturing. Our systems combine realistic physical controls, motion platforms, and real-time software to train operators safely and efficiently.

    The Role

We are looking for a hands-on Hardware Engineer to own the physical architecture of our simulator systems. You will bridge the gap between design and physical rollout—handling everything from electronic/structural layouts and multi-part assembly to managing external manufacturing vendors.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Electro-Mechanical Design: Create layouts for simulator hardware structures, wire harnesses, electronic sensors, and industrial control inputs.
    • Assembly & Integration: Direct and execute the physical assembly work, ensuring multiple hardware parts, structural fittings, and electronic subsystems integrate perfectly.
    • Vendor & Supply Chain Management: Identify, source, and manage relationships with multiple fabrication partners and PCB vendors to ensure on-time, cost-effective production.
    • Design for Manufacturing (DFM): Optimize designs to simplify the assembly process, reduce production costs, and improve hardware reliability.
    • Quality Control: Set inspection standards for incoming vendor components and troubleshoot any physical or electrical defects before final rollout.

    Requirements

    • Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electronics Engineering.
    • Experience: Experience in physical hardware product development, industrial electronics, or simulator assembly.
    • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Catia, etc).
    • Strong understanding of structural fittings, mfg and wiring layouts.
    • Operations: Proven ability to manage Bills of Materials (BOM), negotiate with manufacturing vendors, and meet tight production timelines.
