    Description

We are looking for a Hardware Engineering Project Manager to drive our mechanical, electrical, and embedded hardware programs from R&D through release. You'll keep cross-functional engineering teams, vendors, and factories aligned, manage schedules and priorities across concurrent initiatives, and use data to drive decisions and surface risk early.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Own planning, scheduling, and execution of multiple hardware programs across mechanical, electrical, and embedded engineering teams.
    • Translate R&D and product roadmaps into clear schedules, milestones, and deliverables
    • Coordinate release schedules across disciplines, proactively identifying and managing cross-team dependencies.
    • Manage vendor and contract manufacturer/original design manufacturer coordination, including deliverables, timelines, and issue resolution.
    • Support factory builds (engineering, design, and production validation stages), including build readiness, on-site coordination, and issue escalation.
    •  Drive certification activities (regulatory, safety, compliance) to ensure on-time approvals for release.
    • Partner closely with the software/firmware team to align hardware-software integration and release timing.
    • Track task status, unblock engineers, escalate risks, and keep stakeholders informed on program health.
    • Build and maintain program dashboards, using metrics to identify bottlenecks and drive process improvements.
    • Report program status, risks, and key decisions to senior management.
    • Manage prioritization across concurrent R&D and release efforts, balancing near-term and long-term work.
    • Facilitate design reviews, planning sessions, and release readiness checkpoints.
    • Manage scope, risk, and critical path across all active programs

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Any Engineering, or equivalent experience
    • 7+ years managing hardware programs: scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path
    • Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, embedded), vendors and contract/design manufacturers, and factory builds.
    •  Experience supporting certification/compliance processes for hardware products.
    • Strong prioritization, resource planning, and stakeholder/senior management communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    •     Experience managing R&D initiatives alongside production releases

    •     Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or embedded/firmware engineering

    •     Experience with tools like Jira, Smartsheet, or MS Project
