About a minute. You'll make an account on the way through.

    About this role

    ● End-to-End Ownership: Lead the complete hardware development lifecycle—from initial specifications and schematics to high-power lab prototyping and mass production transfer.

    ● 1.5 kW – 6 kW LLC Platform Design: Architect and design high-efficiency power converters specifically for EV charging applications operating in the 1.5 kW to 6 kW range.

    ● Advanced Topology Implementation: Simulate, design, and optimize advanced resonant and soft-switching topologies, focusing heavily on LLC Resonant Converters and Phase-Shifted Full-Bridge (PSFB) structures.

    ● Custom Magnetics Design: Perform calculations, core selection, winding layouts, and loss estimations to design custom high-frequency transformers and inductors.

    ● Power stage design: Design power stages using high-voltage MOSFETs (including cutting-edge GaN FETs) along with their corresponding gate drivers, snubber circuits, and protection loops.

    ● Multi-Layer PCB Layout: Use Altium Designer to create complex, noise-sensitive, and thermally optimized multi-layer PCBs for high-power applications.

    ● High-Power Lab Validation: Work safely in high-voltage lab environments to execute physical prototype bring-up, debugging, and testing using oscilloscopes, electronic loads, and power analyzers.

    ● EMC & Safety Compliance: Ensure all hardware designs are engineered for electromagnetic compatibility, targeting strict EMI/EMC compliance and safety standards.

    ● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with firmware, mechanical, and thermal teams to optimize overall system efficiency, while coordinating with manufacturing teams for seamless product handoff.

    Must have requirements

    1. Education & Experience

    ● Required Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a closely related technical field.

    ● Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 to 5+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience in hardware development specifically within Power Electronics.

    ● Product Track Record: Must have successfully taken at least one high-power converter product from conceptual design/schematics through to physical prototyping and lab testing.

    2. Core Domain & Power Rating Experience

    ● EV Charger Design: Direct, hands-on experience designing power converters specifically for EV systems (such as onboard/offboard chargers, high-power DC-DC converters, or traction inverters).

    ● Power Capacity: Direct experience designing hardware operating in the 1.5 kW to 6 kW power range.

    3. Advanced Topology Expertise

Must have proven design, simulation, and implementation experience with advanced, high-frequency, high-efficiency resonant and soft-switching topologies:

    ● LLC Resonant Converters

    ● PSFB (Phase-Shifted Full-Bridge)

    4. Power Stage & Component-Level Design

    ● Custom Magnetics: Hands-on experience designing custom high-frequency magnetics, including high-frequency transformers and inductors (core selection, winding structure, loss estimation).

    ● Power Semiconductor Switch Design: Strong practical understanding of designing with high-voltage MOSFETs (experience with GaN FETs is a plus), gate drivers, and their associated snubber/protection circuits.

    ● Experience with EMI/ EMC complaint systems is a plus

    5. Hardware Tools & Physical Bring-Up

    ● PCB Design (ECAD): Advanced proficiency in professional ECAD tools—specifically Altium Designer—for multi-layer, high-power, and noise-sensitive PCB layouts.

    ● High-Power Lab Debugging: Hands-on experience working safely in high-power lab environments doing physical prototype bring-up, hardware debugging, and testing using oscilloscopes, electronic loads, and power analyzers.
