Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Hadoop Cluster Administrator to manage, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot Hadoop clusters in an enterprise environment. The candidate should have hands-on experience in Hadoop administration, cluster health monitoring, performance optimization and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer and maintain Hadoop clusters.
• Manage HDFS, YARN, NameNode, DataNode and cluster resource utilization.
• Monitor cluster health, troubleshoot failures and resolve production issues.
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning and cluster optimization.
• Manage Hadoop services, user access, permissions and security configurations.
• Support cluster upgrades, patching, maintenance and incident management.
• Work with Big Data and application teams to ensure cluster availability and reliability.
• Maintain operational documentation and follow production support procedures.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in Hadoop Cluster Administration.
• Strong knowledge of HDFS, YARN, NameNode and DataNode.
• Experience in Hadoop cluster monitoring, troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
• Experience with Hadoop ecosystem tools such as Cloudera/CDP or Ambari is desirable.
• Understanding of cluster security, access management and production support.

• Experience managing enterprise Hadoop environments.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
