Job Summary
The Gym Instructor is responsible for providing professional fitness guidance to hotel guests and members, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming fitness environment. The role includes conducting fitness assessments, demonstrating proper use of gym equipment, assisting guests with workout routines, and maintaining high standards of guest service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist guests and members using the fitness center.
- Conduct basic fitness assessments and provide exercise recommendations.
- Demonstrate the correct and safe use of gym equipment.
- Monitor guest activities and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the gym and fitness areas.
- Inspect fitness equipment regularly and report maintenance requirements.
- Conduct fitness classes and personal training sessions, as assigned.
- Promote wellness programs, memberships, and recreational activities.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve concerns professionally.
- Ensure all health, safety, and hotel standards are consistently followed.
Qualifications Requirements
- Diploma/Certification in Fitness Training, Physical Education, or a related field.
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED preferred.
- 13 years of experience as a Gym Instructor, preferably in a hotel, fitness center, or hospitality environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of fitness equipment, exercise techniques, and health safety practices.
- Pleasant personality with a strong guest-service orientation.
