Gym Executive

Role & responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the university gym and ensure smooth functioning.
• Assist students, faculty and staff in using gym equipment correctly and safely.
• Guide members regarding basic exercises, workout routines and proper equipment usage.
• Monitor gym activities and ensure compliance with safety and fitness guidelines.
• Maintain proper records of gym memberships, attendance and equipment usage.
• Inspect fitness equipment regularly and report maintenance or repair requirements.
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene and proper arrangement of the gym facility.
• Support fitness programs, competitions, workshops and wellness activities organized by the university.
• Assist in preparing basic fitness schedules for gym users according to their general fitness goals.
• Monitor the availability of fitness accessories, supplies and consumables.
• Handle student queries and provide courteous assistance to gym users.
• Ensure discipline and appropriate behaviour within the gym premises.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams for facility-related requirements.
• Maintain daily operational reports and submit them to the reporting manager.
• Respond appropriately to minor gym-related emergencies and immediately escalate serious incidents.
• Promote healthy lifestyle, physical fitness and regular exercise among students and employees.

Preferred candidate profile

• 12th or Graduate
• Certification in Fitness Training / Gym Training / Personal Training will be an added advantage.
• Relevant experience in gym, fitness centre, sports facility or university/college fitness centre preferred.

Experience

1-3 years of relevant experience in a gym, fitness centre, sports academy, educational institution or similar organization preferred.
