Job Summary The Gym Attendant will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the university gym during designated operating hours. The role will ensure authorized access, proper and safe use of equipment, cleanliness, discipline, and timely reporting of any damage, misuse, or maintenance requirements.
Key Responsibilities - Supervise the gym during the designated operating hours:
- Morning: 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM
- Evening: 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Ensure access is provided only to registered and authorized users .
- Maintain proper entry and exit records for all gym users.
- Verify user registration before allowing access.
- Monitor the safe and proper use of all gym equipment.
- Ensure users follow the prescribed gym rules and safety guidelines .
- Conduct regular checks of equipment and report any damage, misuse, malfunction, or maintenance requirement immediately.
- Maintain basic records of equipment condition, incidents, and maintenance issues.
- Ensure the gym and equipment are kept clean, organized, and properly maintained .
- Ensure equipment is returned to its designated place after use.
- Report any accident, safety concern, or unauthorized activity to the concerned authority immediately.
- Coordinate with the Administration/Maintenance Team for timely repair and maintenance.
- Assist in communicating gym rules and basic safety instructions to new users.
- Ensure compliance with university policies and gym usage guidelines.
To ensure effective supervision, controlled access, safe equipment usage, cleanliness, and regular monitoring of the gym, thereby maintaining the facilities and equipment in good condition and promoting a safe and disciplined environment for all users.
