Guidewire QA Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Lead and execute testing activities for Guidewire modules such as PolicyCenter,
• ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, and ContactCenter.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks using tools like Selenium,
• Playwright, and other industry-standard automation tools.
• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts based on functional and technical
• requirements.
• Automate end-to-end testing, including functional, regression, and API testing,
• leveraging tools such as SOAP UI, Postman, or UFT.
• Analyze complex business, functional, and technical requirements to identify gaps and
• suggest improvements.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues, working closely with development teams to identify
• root causes and drive resolutions.
• Support continuous integration and deployment pipelines and integrate automated
• tests within CI/CD workflows, utilizing tools like Azure DevOps.
• Validate data flow and integration points across Guidewire modules and external
• systems.
• Log, track, and manage defects using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, Bugzilla,
• ensuring timely resolution.
• Assess the impact of system changes and define regression test suites accordingly.
• Monitor testing metrics and continuously improve test processes, automation
• frameworks, and best practices.
• Provide SME-level guidance on Guidewire modules, test strategies, and automation
• best practices.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge through documentation and
• knowledge-sharing sessions.
