Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Lead teams in building and maintaining high-quality code and configurations. Mentor developers, architects, and tech leads while driving innovation, governance, and compliance
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the insurance value chain, especially front- and mid-office functions, plus APAC insurance or financial services regulations.
- Transformational Leadership: Ability to advise customers and lead transformation using the Guidewire Cloud Platform.
- Solution Architecture & Design: Design and lead end-to-end architectures for complex business needs using best practices and emerging technologies. Architect and tailor platforms to detailed requirements, ensuring scalability, reliability, performance, and enterprise standards.
- Systems Integration & Development: Lead seamless integration of platforms and tools. Design Guidewire-integrated microservices, prototype insurance features quickly, and use GenAI to improve underwriting, claims, and customer service.
- Strategic Planning: Create 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned to business goals. Assess Guidewire services, support transformation, and guide cloud adoption and migration.
- Documentation & Standards: Develop architecture documentation, roadmaps, and blueprints. Define documentation standards and maintain the enterprise architecture repository.
- Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting: Resolve critical system issues and improve performance, security, and efficiency. Oversee optimization efforts and track solution KPIs.
- Stakeholder Management: Partner with executives and business teams on strategic initiatives, gather requirements, and lead technical discussions with customers and partners.
- Risk Management: Identify and reduce technical risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and guide disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- GenAI Integration: Apply Generative AI to improve underwriting, claims, and customer service, including model integration or development.
- AI-Driven Decision Support: Build or integrate AI/ML models to improve decision-making in Guidewire systems.
- Project Oversight: Review major solution architectures, guide technical decisions, and ensure architectural consistency across projects.
Mandatory Experience
- 10+ years of experience in insurance or technology roles.
- Expertise in leading Guidewire Cloud implementations and delivering innovative, customer-focused solutions.
