Job Description – F&B Services GSA

Department: Food & Beverage (F&B)

Designation: Guest Service Associate (GSA) 

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests in a warm and professional manner.

• Set up tables, restaurant areas, and service stations before operations.

• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen/bar.

• Serve food and beverages according to hotel service standards.

• Ensure timely and proper clearing of tables.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the restaurant and service areas.

• Assist guests with menu information and respond to their requests politely.

• Check guest satisfaction during service and report complaints to the supervisor.

• Follow proper billing and payment procedures when required.

• Refill water, beverages, and other items as required.

• Assist in buffet setup, replenishment, and clearing.

• Maintain proper handling and storage of crockery, cutlery, glassware, and service equipment.

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and hotel SOPs at all times.

• Coordinate with the kitchen, stewarding, housekeeping, and front office when required.

• Assist in banquet functions, meetings, and special events.

• Support opening and closing duties of the restaurant.

• Maintain a professional appearance and wear the prescribed uniform.

• Follow hotel rules, discipline, safety procedures, and grooming standards.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the F&B Supervisor or Manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Hotel management qualification is an advantage.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.

• Customer-service-oriented attitude.

• Ability to work under pressure and in shifts.

• Good grooming and personal hygiene.

• Teamwork and positive attitude.

• Previous hotel/F&B experience is mandatory
