GST Litigation

Role & responsibilities

• Handle GST litigation matters, including notices, scrutiny assessments, audits, investigations, and adjudications.
• Draft and prepare replies to GST notices, show cause notices (SCNs), and departmental communications.
• Prepare and file appeals before appellate authorities and coordinate litigation proceedings.
• Conduct legal research on GST laws, notifications, circulars, and judicial precedents.
• Liaise with GST consultants, advocates, and tax authorities regarding ongoing cases.
• Monitor litigation status and maintain a database of pending cases and deadlines.
• Support GST audits, departmental inquiries, and anti-evasion investigations.
• Evaluate tax risks and provide recommendations for dispute resolution.
• Assist business teams in interpreting GST provisions and mitigating compliance risks.
• Ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements and legal submissions.

Preferred candidate profile

• CA / CA Inter / CMA / CS / LLB preferred.
• 6 to 9 years of experience in GST litigation, indirect taxation, or tax advisory.
• Strong understanding of GST laws, appellate procedures, and tax regulations.
