    About this role

Job Title: GSOC Analyst Protective Intelligence

Location: Cambridge, MA | Bangalore, India
Department: Global Security Operations Center (GSOC)
Reports To: GSOC Manager or Intelligence Lead
    Job Type: Full-Time

    Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented GSOC Analyst – Protective Intelligence to join our Global Security Operations Center. This role is critical to identifying and evaluating risks before they escalate—leveraging intelligence sources, statistical data, and emerging trends to inform security strategies and operational responses.

The ideal candidate will bring analytical expertise, situational awareness, and the ability to evaluate threats in real-time. This position focuses on proactive intelligence gathering and interpretation to support event security, executive protection, and broader corporate risk mitigation efforts.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Proactive Threat Analysis:
Monitor and assess real-time data from multiple sources—including VCC (confirmed sources), Signal (unconfirmed), open-source media, and social media—to identify risks to personnel, events, and operations.
    • Pre-Escalation Intelligence Review:
Conduct rapid threat research and verification when GSOC Operators surface potential issues. Determine validity, scope, and possible escalation to management for critical event activation.
    • Event Security Intelligence:
Support pre-event planning by gathering intel on venues, including crime statistics, petty crime history, and area-specific threats. Use geofencing techniques (e.g., 5 km radius) to identify localized risks.
    • Risk Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze statistics, trends, and geopolitical developments to evaluate potential downstream effects on operations. Prepare concise, actionable intelligence briefs and threat summaries.
    • Threat Hunting:
Actively monitor platforms like Signal for early warning signs. Use tools to source and analyze threat indicators, set incident thresholds, and identify patterns that may impact business continuity.
    • Tool Proficiency & Source Verification:
Leverage GSOC platforms to gather, filter, and validate intelligence. Distinguish between confirmed and unconfirmed sources, assigning weight and context to unverified data.
    • Security Plan Development:
Support the creation of risk-based security plans by providing intelligence assessments that inform protective measures, staffing, and response posture.
    • Geopolitical Context Monitoring:
Monitor global developments, protest activity, social unrest, and regional instability that could indirectly impact operations. Think beyond direct incidents to evaluate potential impact chains.

    Core Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
    • Proactive, solution-focused mindset
    • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and unconfirmed reporting
    • Skilled in OSINT techniques, threat validation, and data triage
    • Ability to synthesize complex information into actionable intelligence
    • Familiarity with GSOC tools and platforms (Signal, VCC, etc.)
    • Understanding of social media, open source, and dark web intelligence

    Required Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of experience in GSOC, intelligence, military, law enforcement, or similar security environment
    • Proven experience in threat assessment, risk analysis, or protective intelligence
    • Familiarity with crime statistics, mapping tools, and incident monitoring systems
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience supporting event security, executive protection, or crisis management
    • Foreign language proficiency or regional expertise
    • Experience working with incident management and communication tools
