    About this role

    About Bookscape

At Bookscape, we are building the ultimate ecosystem for book lovers, authors, and publishers. With a massive catalog of 8Mn+ across diverse genres, we leverage cutting-edge technology and data-driven personalization to deliver the right book to the right reader. We are transforming online book retail through seamless user experiences, personalized bookshelves, and high-impact reader engagement.

    About the Role:

We are looking for a CRO & Growth Specialist/Manager to own and improve the conversion and overall customer experience of Bookscape's digital journey.

The role will focus on identifying conversion opportunities across the website, understanding customer behaviour, running experiments, and working closely with Technology, Marketing, Category, Design and CRM teams to turn insights into measurable business impact.

This is a hands-on, execution-oriented role. We are looking for someone who doesn't just identify problems but takes ownership of getting solutions implemented.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Own the CRO roadmap for Bookscape and identify opportunities across the customer funnel — landing page, search, category, product page, cart and checkout.
    • Analyse customer behaviour using GA4, GTM, heatmaps/session recordings and other analytics tools to identify friction and conversion leakage.
    • Plan and execute A/B tests, UX improvements, landing-page optimisation and other CRO initiatives.
    • Improve website navigation, search, product discovery, merchandising, and checkout experience.
    • Work with Marketing and Category teams to improve landing pages and traffic-to-conversion journeys.
    • Identify opportunities for personalisation, recommendations, and improved customer journeys.
    • Translate business requirements into clear tasks/requirements for the Technology team.
    • Drive Tech execution, follow up on timelines, QA implementations and ensure initiatives are taken live.
    • Monitor results and quantify the impact of CRO initiatives on conversion and revenue.
    • Maintain a structured CRO backlog and prioritise initiatives based on business impact and effort.
    • Continuously benchmark Bookscape against leading e-commerce experiences and identify opportunities for improvement.

    What We're Looking For

    • 4–8 years of experience in CRO, Growth, E-commerce, Product Growth, Digital Product, or a similar role.
    • Strong understanding of e-commerce funnels and customer behaviour.
    • Hands-on experience with GA4, GTM, A/B testing, heatmaps/session-recording tools, and analytics.
    • Good understanding of website UX/UI and conversion principles.
    • Ability to work with product/technology teams and translate business requirements into actionable requirements.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and web technologies is a plus.
    • Experience with D2C/e-commerce businesses is strongly preferred.

Most Important — Who You Are

We're looking for someone who is:

    • A go-getter and strong owner
    • Comfortable challenging the status quo
    • Data-driven but commercially minded
    • Comfortable working with Technology teams
    • Persistent about getting things implemented
    • Able to work independently without needing constant direction
    • Focused on business outcomes, not just reports and recommendations
    • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment

If you identify a problem, we expect you to take ownership of getting it solved — not simply raise it with the Tech team.

    Success in the Role:

Success will be measured through improvements in:

    • Website conversion rate
    • Add-to-cart and checkout conversion
    • Revenue per visitor
    • Product/category page performance
    • Search and product discovery
    • Customer experience
    • Incremental revenue from CRO initiatives
    • Speed and effectiveness of implementation
