We're looking for a marketer who can own growth end-to-end—from acquiring users efficiently to building a brand people remember. Role Overview As the Marketing Manager, you'll own the entire marketing engine for Guru. You'll work closely with Product, Business, Content, Design, Analytics, and external partners to drive user acquisition, improve marketing efficiency, strengthen the brand, and build scalable growth channels. This role combines analytical thinking with creative execution.
Responsibilities Performance Marketing
- Own paid acquisition across Meta, Google, YouTube, and emerging channels.
- Plan and optimize marketing budgets to maximize ROAS, CAC, and LTV.
- Continuously experiment with creatives, audiences, landing pages, and bidding strategies.
- Build growth experiments to improve conversion across the acquisition funnel.
- Collaborate with analytics teams to measure campaign effectiveness and attribution. Influencer Marketing
- Build and scale influencer partnerships across YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, podcasts, and creator communities.
- Identify high-performing creators aligned with Guru's audience.
- Negotiate partnerships and manage campaign execution.
- Measure campaign performance using installs, subscriptions, engagement, and retention metrics.
- Develop long-term creator relationships instead of one-off campaigns. Brand Marketing
- Define and strengthen Guru's brand positioning across channels.
- Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns around key launches and seasonal moments.
- Ensure consistency in messaging, visual identity, and communication.
- Collaborate with product and content teams to create compelling storytelling.
- Drive awareness campaigns that improve brand recall and organic acquisition. Agency Management
- Manage creative, media-buying, influencer, and branding agencies.
- Define campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- Review campaign quality and ensure timely execution.
- Evaluate agency performance against measurable business outcomes.
- Optimize agency relationships for both quality and cost efficiency. Partnerships & Growth
- Build strategic partnerships with creators, educational institutions, communities, and brands.
- Identify new acquisition channels beyond paid marketing.
- Launch referral, affiliate, and co-marketing initiatives.
- Explore offline and digital opportunities that can accelerate growth. Marketing Analytics
- Track and improve key metrics including: ○ CAC ○ ROAS ○ CPI ○ Subscription Conversion ○ D1, D7 & D30 Retention ○ LTV ○ Organic Share ○ Brand Recall
- Present actionable insights to leadership.
- Translate data into clear marketing decisions. What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in consumer internet, startups, edtech, content, media or subscription businesses.
- Strong understanding of performance marketing fundamentals.
- Experience managing influencer campaigns at scale.
- Good understanding of branding and consumer psychology.
- Comfortable working with marketing analytics and experimentation.
- Experience working with agencies and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Bias for execution with strong ownership.
Preferred Experience
- Subscription business experience.
- Mobile app marketing.
- Experience with AI products or consumer learning platforms.
- Knowledge of attribution platforms like AppsFlyer or Branch.
- Familiarity with some analytics tool Success in the First 6 Months
- Improve marketing efficiency by reducing CAC while maintaining growth.
- Build a scalable influencer program with measurable ROI.
- Launch high-impact brand campaigns that increase awareness and organic traffic.
- Establish clear marketing dashboards and reporting.
