About the job Discovery team: The Commerce Discovery Team is the engine of our "Digital First" transformation. As the Director of Product for Discovery, you aren’t just a manager of roadmaps; you are a practitioner who thrives on technical complexity. You are a strategist who understands B2C psychology, an e-commerce expert who knows how to scale platforms, and a leader who is willing to get their hands dirty to drive highly complex, organization-wide projects to the finish line. Key Responsibilities: Drive the North Star: You are accountable for Digital Sales Coverage and Customer NPS. Your success is measured by creating a frictionless experience that drives repeat behavior and long-term loyalty, not just a one-time transaction. Architectural Ownership: Lead the evolution of our e-commerce platforms from 0-to-1 and 1-to-100. Oversee the high-stakes transition from fragmented legacy environments to a modern, high-speed unified architecture. World-Class Team Architect: You are responsible for building a high-performance product organization from the ground up. This involves: Hiring with a High Bar: Actively sourcing and recruiting the top 1% of product talent. Active Mentorship: Elevating the "Product Craft" of your team through hands-on coaching and setting clear career trajectories. Performance Rigor: Having the decisiveness to "weed off" misfits or underperformers who do not meet the team's pace, quality, or cultural standards. Multi-Geo Stakeholder Diplomacy: Navigate and lead product strategy across multi-cultural teams. You must be able to drive alignment across diverse stakeholders, ensuring a global standard of excellence while respecting local market nuances. Hands-on Execution: We need a leader who can move from a high-level board presentation to a deep-dive technical session. You will directly steer the most complex, high-impact projects. Ideal Candidate Attributes: B2C & E-Commerce Scale: 8+ years of experience building high-traffic B2C products and a proven track record of scaling large-scale e-commerce platforms. Technical Depth: You must have a deep interest in how things work under the hood. You are expected to understand system architecture, API design, and data schemas. You should be able to challenge engineering estimates on the technical approach itself, ensuring we build for scalability rather than just "patching" problems. Talent Magnet: Proven experience in building and scaling elite product teams. You have a reputation for attracting top talent and maintaining a high-performance culture. Multi-Cultural Grit: Demonstrated success in multi-geo environments, with the ability to drive alignment across different work cultures and time zones without losing speed. Change Agent: You have the "grit" to challenge the status quo in a large organization and the leadership skills to bring people along on a transformation journey.
