Group Finance & Accounts Manager_Operational Excellence_At Tanzania

Role Purpose

MeTL Group is looking for a high-potential finance professional to drive Operational Excellence initiatives across the Groups businesses.

The role will work closely with Business CEOs, Unit Finance Controllers, Sales, Supply Chain, Production, and Central Functions to improve operational efficiency, strengthen execution discipline, and drive data-backed decision making across the organization.

The position is designed for a young, analytically strong, execution-oriented professional with a finance background who can combine commercial understanding with operational follow-through.

Operational Excellence & Performance Improvement

• Drive operational efficiency initiatives across Group companies
  • Identify gaps in productivity, process efficiency, and execution
  • Monitor implementation of improvement initiatives across units
  • Work with business teams to improve production efficiency, sales & distribution effectiveness, working capital cycles, cost optimization, and inventory management

Performance Monitoring & MIS

• Develop and track operational KPIs across businesses
  • Build dashboards and performance tracking mechanisms
  • Analyze business trends and identify areas requiring intervention
  • Ensure timely follow-up and closure of action items from review meetings

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Business CEOs, Unit Finance Controllers, Operations teams, and Sales & Supply Chain functions
  • Drive accountability and execution across teams
  • Support implementation of group-wide operational initiatives

Business Analytics & Strategic Support

• Conduct operational and financial analysis to support decision making
  • Evaluate business cases and operational improvement opportunities
  • Support Group CFO on strategic projects and transformation initiatives

Governance & Review Mechanism

• Establish structured review and follow-up mechanisms
  • Track action plans and ensure execution discipline
  • Escalate critical operational risks and bottlenecks

Desired Candidate Profile

• CA / MBA Finance / Engineer with strong finance orientation
  • 810 years of experience
  • Experience in FMCG / Manufacturing / Distribution-led businesses preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • High ownership and execution orientation
  • Ability to work across functions and influence senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced Excel / dashboarding / MIS skills preferred
