About this role
Responsibilities:
- Brand system. Own and evolve the A2Z POS visual identity across the website, social media, campaigns, video, and sales collateral. Build a documented design system and a reusable template library in Figma and Canva that non-designers can work from, and keep an organized, versioned asset library in company storage.
- Social and campaign design. Design social posts, carousels, banners, paid-ad creative, and campaign graphics for LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and other digital channels, adapting each across formats without losing quality.
- Video and short-form content. Produce reels, shorts, product videos, and promotional spots from raw capture or screen recording through final delivery.
- Motion graphics. Create animated typography, transitions, UI (user interface) animation, product animation, and brand/logo animation.
- Product explainers. Produce walkthroughs, feature explainers, and tutorial videos that make POS (point-of-sale) and back-office workflows easy to follow for a store owner with no software background.
- Marketing collateral. Design brochures, flyers, one-pagers, presentations, sales collateral, and infographics for the early-adopter sales effort.
- Website and conversion. Design and improve website page layouts, landing pages, and visual hierarchy, and deliver web-ready assets to specification, partnering with the marketing and SEO specialist, who owns on-page search and backend publishing.
- Creative direction. Develop concepts, mood boards, and creative directions for campaigns, and translate product features and business messages into clear visual stories.
- Team direction. Briefly review and develop the creative output of one direct report, and hold the brand quality line before anything publishes.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in graphic design, visual design, motion design, or a closely related role. Exceptional portfolios below this threshold will be considered; the work is the gate, not the tenure.
- Strength in both static and motion at a professional standard. This role requires both; a strong static portfolio with weak motion work, or the reverse, will not clear screening.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects. Strong working proficiency in Figma.
- Proven experience creating marketing creative for digital and social channels and for product demos, SaaS explainers, and UI animation.
- Strong command of typography, color theory, layout, composition, visual hierarchy, and branding, able to explain design decisions, not only make them.
- Practical AI-assisted creative workflow. Working use of AI image, video, and motion tools, with judgment about where AI output is acceptable in customer-facing brand work and where it is not.
- Be ready to walk through one piece of work where AI changed how you produced it.
- Ability to take a project from concept to final production independently, including asking the right clarifying questions up front.
- Strong written English, time management, and disciplined asynchronous communication across a 12.5-hour time difference.
- Preferred: SaaS, B2B (business-to-business), software, startup, or digital-product brands; experience as the first or only designer at an early-stage company; experience directing another designer.
