About Valu Ventures Valu Ventures is a bootstrapped venture studio building small, profitable online businesses from Mumbai in the spirit of operators like Pieter Levels ( levels.io ) and Greg Isenberg (Late Checkout). No outside funding, no VCs, no chasing unicorns. We will make money by shipping products and services that customers actually pay for, building in public as we go. To be clear, this will be a separate new business to Wicky AI. We will launch 2 new businesses every quarter, review each one at the 6-month mark, and decide whether to double down or kill it. We focus on small, simple, scalable online businesses. No physical stores, no heavy capital, no shipping inventory. The studio is founded and run by Nakul Pednekar , based in Sydney and originally from Mumbai. You’ll work from an office with the founding team 2-3 times a week and in person with Nakul 3-4 times a year. You'll be one of the first three hires. You'll work directly with the founder, and you'll have real ownership of how the studio actually runs from day one.

The role You'll own the technical side of every business we launch. There is no CTO above you. You'll ship MVPs in days, not months, using GenAI-leveraged stacks (Cursor, Claude Code, Vercel, Supabase, Stripe). You'll also build the internal tooling that lets a 4-person studio run like a 15-person one. This role is for someone who is genuinely immersed in GenAI, not just academically aware of it, but actively using it daily to build things.

• Build in public - share the wins, losses, numbers, and lessons as we go
• Hybrid: 2–3 days/week at WeWork BKC, rest remote

What you'll do

• Build and ship MVPs for new business bets each quarter (web apps, landing pages, AI agents, automations)
• Own the full stack — frontend, backend, infra, deployment — across multiple products at once
• Build internal tools, dashboards and automations that make the studio run faster
• Make pragmatic build vs. buy calls; AI-leverage everything you can
• Keep things shippable and simple — we optimise for speed and learning, not enterprise architecture

What we're looking for

• A recent Engineering / CS grad from a strong Mumbai college
• You're already immersed in GenAI - Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot are part of how you build, not tools you've read about
• You've shipped something on your own whether it’s a side project, a college hackathon win, a tool people actually use
• Comfortable across the stack: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, a modern frontend framework, basic devops
• Genuinely interested in startups and how businesses make money, not just how code works
• English fluent, comfortable owning decisions, comfortable being the only engineer in the room
