The Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) will support Supplier Quality Assurance and Sourcing activities by coordinating with suppliers, ensuring quality compliance, and assisting in procurement processes. The role provides exposure to supplier development, quality systems, cost optimization, and supply chain operations.

Under close supervision, Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA): Assist in supplier evaluation, qualification, and performance monitoring. Support incoming inspection, PPAP/APQP processes, and quality documentation review. Follow up with suppliers on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues. Participate in supplier audits and process capability assessments. Track and report supplier quality metrics (PPM, rejection rate, on-time delivery). Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and standards. Sourcing & Procurement: Support supplier identification, RFQ preparation, and quote analysis. Assist in cost comparison, negotiation preparation, and vendor selection. Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery and schedule adherence. Track purchase orders and ensure closure with proper documentation. Support cost reduction and localization initiatives. Supplier Development: Work closely with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes and quality systems. Assist in developing alternate suppliers to mitigate risks. Support implementation of best practices in supplier quality and delivery performance. Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with design, production, logistics, and quality teams. Support new product development (NPD) and supplier readiness. Help resolve technical and commercial issues with suppliers.
