Graduate Engineer Trainee

Key Responsibilities:

• 1. Daily Production Supervision:
  Supervise daily production activities and ensure smooth operations on the shop floor.
• 2. Production Schedule & Target Achievement:
  Monitor production schedules and drive the team to achieve output targets.
• 3. Quality & Process Adherence:
  Ensure adherence to quality standards and operating procedures. Identify production issues and implement corrective actions.
• 4. Manpower & Shift Management:
  Allocate manpower and manage shift activities effectively. Train and guide production operators and technicians.
• 5. Machine Performance & Downtime Reduction:
  Monitor machine performance and production efficiency, and minimise downtime by coordinating with the Maintenance team.
• 6. Production Records & Reporting:
  Maintain production records and prepare daily reports on time.
• 7. 5S, Lean & Continuous Improvement:
  Implement 5S, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives in the assigned area.
• 8. Safety, Health & Environment:
  Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations.
• 9. Wastage Control & Productivity:
  Control material wastage and improve productivity.
• 10. Cross-Functional Coordination:
  Coordinate with the Quality, Maintenance, Stores and Planning departments for smooth production flow.
• 11. Product Knowledge Control Cables:
  Develop working knowledge of control cable products and their manufacturing processes. Prior knowledge of control cables is an added advantage.

Other Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (B.E. / B.Tech or equivalent) in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Knowledge of production processes and manufacturing principles.

• Basic understanding of quality systems and safety standards.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production reporting.

• Computer proficiency (MS Office, MS Excel).

• Basic knowledge of 5S.

• Skills in leadership and team management, communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving and analytical thinking, time management and decision-making.

• Willingness to work in shifts.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.

• Positive attitude and continuous learning mindset.

• Knowledge of control cables is an added advantage.
