Graduate Engineer Trainee - Production

Job Description

Suprajit Engineering Limited is looking for a Graduate Engineer Trainee for the Production department at Bommasandra, Bengaluru. You will oversee daily manufacturing operations, support the achievement of production targets, maintain quality standards and promote a safe working environment, while learning shop-floor operations. We are looking for a motivated candidate with strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities and ensure smooth operations
• Monitor production schedules to achieve output targets
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and operating procedures, and implement corrective actions for production issues
• Allocate manpower, manage shift activities, and train and guide production operators and technicians
• Monitor machine performance and production efficiency, and minimise downtime by coordinating with the Maintenance team
• Maintain production records and prepare daily reports
• Implement 5S, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations
• Control material wastage and improve productivity
• Coordinate with the Quality, Maintenance, Stores and Planning departments

Desired Candidate Profile

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Electrical or a related field
• Knowledge of production processes and manufacturing principles
• Basic understanding of quality systems and safety standards
• Basic knowledge of 5S
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel, and production reporting
• Leadership and team management, communication, problem-solving, time management and decision-making skills
• Willingness to work in shifts
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines
• Positive attitude and a continuous learning mindset
• Knowledge of control cables is an added advantage
