About NATS Apprenticeship Program:

National Apprenticeship Training Scheme, is a program where Volvo India engages freshly graduated individuals for year-long apprenticeships, providing them with practical training and skills development opportunities within the company s various functions. its a way for Volvo to train future workforce members through a structured apprenticeship program.

Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Prodcution Engineering)

Experience: Fresher

Main Tasks/ Responsibilities :

- Learn and Support Quality teams in addressing Supplier Quality issues using QC tools including Six Sigma approach
- Learn and Lead successful implementation of industry recognized APQP& PPAP (AIAG) policies and procedures for sourced parts
- Actively support Purchasing with supplier development activities to improve Quality, Efficiency, and Cost
- Support Purchasing Department in maintaining compliance (ISO9001/ISO14001 certification) of suppliers, including participating in audits and other sustainabaility Initiatives
- Manage business relationship with suppliers including implementation of the continuous improvement philosophy
- Act as liaison between the Supplier, Purchasing, Engineering and Operations in the development of new parts and changes to existing parts
- Perform other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management to support Volvo CE goals and objectives

Key Skills and Competencies:

- Knowledge in manufacturing processes like Fabrication, Castings, Forgings, Wiring Harness Assembly, Rubber moulding, Heat treatment, Surface finishing etc.,
- Knowledge in quality methods and tools (APQP/PPAP, Lean, Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement,)
- Knowledge in Project management fundamentals
- Good communication - verbal & written in English
- Good analytical skill and logical way of thinking
- Committed to customer satisfaction and Drvie Change Management
- Self-driven and entrepreneurial spirit
- Business accumen & Ownership mentality
- Capability to work in multicultural team in a cross functional global organization
