Government Sales Leader

• Hiring for a leading Japanese manufacturer of intelligent transport systems, road information displays and traffic safety equipment, now building its India operations from Bengaluru.
• We are looking for experienced local professionals to join the founding team.

Role Summary:

• As Government Sales Leader, you will build and grow business with government agencies and infrastructure operators, selling traffic control materials used in construction zones such as traffic cones, barriers and LED warning signs.
• You will be the company's face to key public-sector counterparts in Bengaluru and Karnataka.

Roles And Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with government and infrastructure clients such as NHAI, BMRCL, GBP, BWSSB, Cube Highways and DULT
• Present products and solutions, and negotiate with clients by phone, email and in-person visits
• Prepare client proposals, presentations and supporting documentation
• Track opportunities and support project management from enquiry through to delivery
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet client requirements
• Share market and customer insights to shape the company's India go-to-market approach

Required Candidate Profile

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in government sales, including client presentations, negotiation, proposal preparation and project management support.
• Proven experience coordinating with internal and external stakeholders - Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and similar office tools - Business-level communication in English, Hindi and Kannada
• Preferred - Existing relationships with road, metro, water or urban transport authorities in Karnataka - Experience selling road safety, traffic management or infrastructure products
