Job Brief: - AU Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking a meticulous and experienced professional to join our Operations and Services team as a specialist in gold asset evaluation for loan processing. This role demands a deep understanding of gold appraisal techniques, market trends, and regulatory compliance to accurately assess the value of gold items submitted as collateral. Responsibilities :-
- Conduct thorough physical inspection and verification of gold items submitted as collateral for loan processing, ensuring authenticity and purity.
- Evaluate the market value of gold assets using standardized appraisal methods and current market rates to determine loan eligibility and amount.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of gold market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory guidelines affecting gold loan operations.
- Prepare detailed appraisal reports and documentation to support loan sanctioning and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with the credit and risk management teams to provide accurate asset valuations that inform lending decisions and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulatory requirements related to gold appraisal and loan processing.
- Manage and maintain the security and proper handling of gold items during the appraisal process to prevent loss or damage.
- Train and mentor junior staff on gold appraisal techniques, quality standards, and operational procedures.
